TRUTH: Answer the challenge questions as truthful as possible!

    OR

DARE: If you choose not to accept the tag, you have to follow through on whatever dare the person who tags you chooses

The DARE given to me is: For those who choose not to answer the challenge questions … I dare you to write and post 5 full RTC reviews (for books you read more than 1 year ago) this week!

There’s no way I could possible write full reviews on books I read over a year ago, because I didn’t take reading notes then and I probably remember next to nothing about the books. So….

Here’s My Truth.

Question 1:

You’re on your way to a birthday dinner that your friends have thrown for you. When you arrive, your favorite author is having dinner by himself or herself and asks you to sit with them, before you even see your friends or they see you. You have two choices: (1) You can sit with the author but can’t tell your friends that you’ve abandoned them for three hours, or (2) Meet your friends and lose the only chance you’ll ever have to talk with the author. Pick one or the other — no exceptions or communication to your friends to tell them about the author — and explain why.

Honestly, I’d probably still have dinner with my friends. Because first of all, I don’t really know who my favorite is. I can say like a solid top 5, but if you asked my to definitively say a favorite author – I’d draw a blank. Secondly, I have no idea what I would talk about with said author (if I ever managed to pick just one). I don’t usually have tons of questions after reading books and I’d probably just be for deleted scenes.

Question 2:

You’ve got an opportunity to spend a few hours alone “in your bedroom” with a character from any book you’ve previously read. The character tells you that (s)he would like to lock the door and spend some alone time with you. What book and character is it, and do you decide to enter the room and lock the door, or tell them you aren’t interested?

Kashmir Firas & yes. Kash is a charming as hell thief with a heart of gold and I love him dearly.

Question 3:

If you could turn any male character from one of your favorite books into a female character (or change a female into a male) in the book or book series, which one and why?

Elle Whittimer from Geekerella because I want more genderbent fairytale re-tellings.

Question 4:

What blogger currently on your follower’s list (meaning they follow you too) do you admire the most and why?

Haley from Fangirl Fury. You should check her out. She has a great blog, with an awesome taste in books!

Question 5:

If you could change any one decision your favorite book character made, what would it be and why?

**Spoilers for The Long Game by Jennifer Lynn Barnes**

In The Long Game (it’s like a YA version of Scandal), I would want Henry Marquette to just wait a damn minute and trust Tess and Ivy, before joining up with the evil teacher lady – whose name I clearly forgot- to get answers. My heart was shattered and I was DEVISTATED.

Question 6:

If you could pick 1 character from a book and 1 character from a TV show you watch (that is NOT based on a book) to be in a relationship together, who would you choose, and why?

Alex Udinov from Nikita & Kaz Brekker from Six of Crows. They would be a badass spy/thief combo that could easily take over the world if they wanted to.

Question 7:

It’s your last day on Earth. As you are about to cross that final finish line, a mysterious shadow appears, giving you a choice: (1) You can go move forward to whatever comes next for you [based on your own spiritual or religious beliefs], or (2) you can become a character in a book series and exist permanently doing whatever that author chooses to do with you in the book. Which do you choose, and if it’s option 2, reveal the book and author.

I’m going to go with option 2, just because I think it would be cool to be able to exist in your favorite fictional world. And I think the Percy Jackson universe would be a fun to spend eternity. I love all things Greek mythology related, and while there is danger, there’s also a kickass summer camp that helps you prepare.

Question 8:

If you could steal a pet from someone in any book you’ve read, but had to replace it with a friend’s pet (meaning they wouldn’t ever see their pet again), would you do it?  If so, explain the who and why.

NO! I could steal someone’s pet/force someone to lose their pet. So all pets are staying where they belong.

Question 9:

If you could turn someone from your real life into a character from a book, who from your life, who in the book and why?

I’d put my sister in the TATBILB series, because I think she’s  be best friends with Lara Jean – and nothing seriously bad would ever happen.

Question 10:

Post a picture of the cover of a book you read in 2000 and the book you are currently reading now. (Note: if you weren’t alive in 2000, pick the first book you ever read and tell everyone what year it was from).

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4)            Juliet Takes a Breath

I was like 12  in 2000 and didn’t read as voraciously as I do now, but I know I read The Goblet of Fire. I got it for my bday or Christmas that & I year still have my paperback even though it’s a mess.

I’m currently reading Juliet Takes a Breath and I have a love-hate relationship with it so far, but definitely leaning positive.

Question 11:

Your favorite character (under 18) needs a place to stay for 3 months and asks you if (s)he could stay in your spare room (yes, you have one for the sake of this question). Who is it and what is the reason (s)he needs to stay with you?

Probably not. Call me heartless, but I just don’t want to deal with a younger sibling and I’m not creative enough to come up with a reason they would be with be with me in the first place.

Question 12:

What is one attribute that a favorite character of your has that you wish you had as well? What character, what attribute and why? (you can change this question when added to your blog, but please let me know your answer to this question in the comments below)

Lazlo Strange is probably the most kind-hearted and open character I have ever ancountered, and as seen by my decision to leave a minor homeless I am not. He exudes warmth and an earnest goodness that we all should aspire to!

I’m Tagging anyone who wants to do this, because I’m awful at making decisions 🙂

If you’re reading this and you want to do this- You’re tagged. But this is really fun, and you should definitely do it!!!

DARE

If you chose to not answer the challenge questions, I dare you to only re-read books for the next 30 days. No new releases, nothing on your TBR – only books you have read before.

Hey! I’m following you already, it seems! But I was so glad to read your answers. Love the honest on Q8 and Q11. That’s an awesome dare — 30 days with no new books, yikes. I’m going to check out FanGurl Fury and follow her too. As for The Long Game, since I like Scandal, I might need to give this a try. Nice to meet ya – again!
