I was tagged by Haley @FangirlFury to do this awesome tag. I missed Wonder Woman in theaters, but I’m super excited for Leigh Bardugo’s Wonder Woman: Warbringer to come out on August 29th. So celebrating Wonder Woman: Warbringer, today I’m going to be doing the Wonder Woman Book tag. This tag was created by Amber of Amber’s Books and More over on Booktube. Links to my reviews will be included when available.
Wonder Woman: Your favorite badass female book character
I have so many favorites, but I’m going to go with a new one from this year. Arsinoe from Three Dark Crowns. She was my favorite queen in Three Dark Crowns, so I can’t wait to see what happens in One Dark Throne. (and I already have an ARC – so I’m excited!)
Fantasy Island: A Book Setting you want to escape to
I’m going to go with The Crown’s Game by Evelyn Skye for 2 reasons: 1) Magical historical Russian and 2) Ludmila’s Cinderella bakery
London: A Hyped book that let you down
Geekerella by Ashley Poston. I wanted a more original reimagining, but the characters were too one dimensional for me.
Steve Trevor: A Book that has a beautiful Cover and a Great Story (i.e. great personality)
Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor. And I think I’m one of the few people who prefer the US cover to the UK one. But I LOVED this book, and Laz is one of my favorite characters from the year so far!
Lasso of Truth: A Book you hated
When I Am Through With You by Stephanie Kuehn. The characters and their horrible decisions completely ruined this book for me. It was unfortunately a huge miss.
Wonder Woman’s Shield: A book so sad you need a shield
I’m a book crier – I can cry at the most insignificant parts of books (and I have), so I really could pick almost anything for this one. I’ll go with a recent one. These Things I’ve Done by Rebecca Phillips definitely had me tearing up!
Ares: A Villain that is scary, but you can’t seem to hate
Teren from The Young Elites. I don’t really know why, but he was one of my favorite cahracters in the entire series besides Magiano of course and he was a horrible person.
The Amazons: A book that you wish had more/better LTBT+ representation
Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. I know Aedion is bisexual, but there could should definitely be more LGBTQ+ rep in the series!
Justice League: What superhero book friends do you tag?
Maram @ Shereadsatpastmidnight
Frankie @ Athousandlivesoffrankielovely
May @My1stchapter
and anyone else who wants to do this!
Are you excited for Wonder Woman: Warbringer? What are some of your answers to these questions? Share down below and happy readings!
I love the tag and your answers💕. I’m dying to read Strange the Dreamer, I feel that I’ll like it because I love Laini’s writing style 😊

Strange was my first Laini Taylor book, and it made me really want to pick of Daughter of Smoke and Bone!

Oh that’s great! You should totally pick it up. It’s one of my favorite trilogies ever, I highly recommend it, is a fantastic story also jumps between a magical world and Prague, everything is too beautiful 😍😍

Arsinoe was my favorite queen too!! She was awesome, and that ending (even though I kind of saw it coming) was epic.

I love this tag because I love anything that has to do with Wonder Woman.
Also, I kind of get you on the Teren thing… I feel like a weirdo, but he’s personally hard to hate?? Like I just feel BAD for him because he was constantly manipulated and emotionally (& physically!!!) abused, though that of course doesn’t excuse his actions. ://

This looks like a really fun tag! I loved the movie and I’m currently reading Wonder Woman: Warbringer in preparation for Bardugo’s stop here next month. I loved Three Dark Crowns & Strange the Dreamer. I need to read all the others though! 🙂
