Winter 2017-2018 Bookish Bingo TBR | Reading Challenge

The Winter 2017-2018 Bookish Bingo is hosted by Bekka @ Pretty Deadly Reviews! I am super excited for this because I really like the ease of this reading challenge, and I’m excited to see how this season goes. Sorry for this going up so late, but life am I right? But better late than never, so here’s my tentative TBR for this seasons bingo!

The object is to get as many BINGOs as possible (five across, up and down, or diagonal)
One square per book. The bingo runs from December – February, so you have plenty of time to get as many bingos as you can!

The only rule is that you cannot use the same book for more than one square. You do not need a blog to participate – all you have to do is comment down on Bekka’s blog post here.

Here’s the card

I’m going to have a tentative TBR, it’s really more of a this is something that fits the category and I might read it, but I could definitely end up reading other books too. (Which is what happened frequently on my Summer and Fall Bingo TBR). I might not have a book for every category, so If you have a recommendation feel free to put it in the comments!

  • RED COVER

      • Ever the Brave by Erin Summerill // I thought book 1 was fun, and excellently set up book 2 – so I can’t wait to see what happens.

  • SPINOFF

  • BLACK AUTHOR

      • Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds // I actually read this last Sunday and I FREAKING LOVED IT SO MUCH. It was incredible and emotional and captivating.

  • BUDDY READ

      • Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson // This must have been fate, because I happen to have a BR set up for the beginning of January.

  • 2018 DEBUT

  • DEATH

  • WINTER RELEASE

      • The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross // I haven’t read a high fantasy in a while, and this is one I think I’ll really like.

  • SCI-FI

      • The Diabolic by SJ Kincaid // I just finished this and I actually was pleasantly surprised. I hope I like book 2 just as much.

  • LIGHT BLUE COVER

  • NUMBERS IN THE TITLE

  • 2017 RELEASE YOU MISSED

      • Dear Martin by Nic Stone // I just keep putting other stuff before it, and I really shouldn’t because I’m sure I’m going to love it.

  • GREEN COVER

      • The Rattled Bones by SM Parker // It’s green and vaguely creepy looking, but it sounds promising.

  • LGBT+

      • Inkmistress by Audrey Coulhurst // Demigods and strange, yet interesting, powers. So much want.

  • SNOW OR ICE ON THE COVER

      • Trapped by Michael Northrop // This reminds me of a MG/YA Day Afer Tomorrow, which is probably nothing like this, but I guess we’ll see.

  • FRIEND’S FAVE
    • Someone tell me your favorite book in the comments and I’ll pick one to read!

  • FAE, FAIRIES, OR FAIR FOLK

  • TREES ON COVER

      • The Wicked Deep by Shae Ernshaw // The tree branches totally count right?

  • WINTERY TITLE

      • Winter Glass by Lexa Hillyer // I mean, it’s got WINTER in the title!

  • MUSIC THEMES

  • COLD SETTING

    • Hunted by Meagan Spooner // There’s so on the cover – and this is a BATB retelling, so yes.

  • ROMANCE

      • I know I’ll read a romance, but I don’t know which one yet, or you can feel free to rec your own!

  • BOOK WAS A GIFT

      • Things I’m Seeing Without You by Peter Bognanni // Not really a gift for me, but my sister won this. So I guess technically it’s her gift, but she recommended it.

  • HOLIDAY THEME

  • VILLAINOUS

Ooooh, for friend’s favorite books? I think you might like – if you haven’t read it – Wild Beauty by Anna-Marie McLemore. Definitely one of my new favorite books.
