This week instead of the normal Sunday tag post, I wanted to share the top 5 books I hope to read before the end of 2019! These are either books that have been on my TBR for a while and I’ve been putting them off, books from authors I’ve never read from before and want to, books from authors I love that I haven’t gotten around to yet. Bascially, this is just me trying to cut down on some TBR books in a manageable way.
So in no particular order, here are my top 5 books I want to read befire the end of the year.
The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi
This would actually be my first Roshani Chokshi book after having read her in the wonderful A Thousand Beginnings and Endings anthology. Even though I’ve wanted to read A Star Touched Queen for longer, I wanted to cover all my genre bases for this – and I was fortunate enough to get an e-ARC of The Silver Serpent , so I need to read this soon. Plus, a historical heist story sounds too good to pass up.
Skyward by Brandon Sanderson
Like with Roshani, this would be my first Brandon Sanderson book. And I know people love the Cosmere Universe, but I wanted to start a little smaller before committing to such a huge world.
Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren
Unlike the first two book, I’ve read almost everything from Christina Lauren and I love their romances. And I cannot wait to read tis second chance love story. I’m expecting it to pack an emotional punch and have wonderful characters. I can’t wait.
Vicious by V.E. Schwab
I have a more mixed history with V.E. Schwab. I liked the Darker Shades of Magic series, but I lost interest in the Monsters of Verity. But EVERYONE raves about this book and I’ve had FOMO over not reading it for too long.
Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alrire Sàenz
This is another one of the books that the book world consistantly recommends and I still haven’t read it yet. I’m a bad book blogger. I know this is well-loved and that it will probably make me cry and I am excited.
What are some book you’re hoping to read before the end of the year? Have you read any of these books yet? Which should I read first? Share below!
