April 2020 Wrap Up

I’ve read so much over the last month since self quarantining I should probably bump up my goodreads goal for the year. Here’s how my April looked reading and blogging wise!

As always click on the title to read my review. And all the thanks to Romie @RomieWeDeserveLoveΒ for the rep indicators. TheΒ πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ means lgbtq rep, β˜€Β means major characters of color, and 🌸 means mental illness, disability, abuse, or trauma rep. I’m addingΒ Β πŸ“šΒ which will indicate my rereads,  🎧 for my audiobooks, πŸ“‘Β for non-fiction and true crime, & ❌ for books I DNF’d. Hopefully I won’t have to use that last one a lot.

Least Favorite Book

Redemption Prep

My only DNF in an otherwise productive month, but there was nothing in this story that worked for me.

Favorite Book

The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1)

Yes, I count my rereads as favorite options (but I’d probably pick Roomies is I had to do a new-to-me read.)

I think it was because 1) I always had an audio book going, 2) I read a lot of romance which I always fly through, 3) I feel like most of the books were relatively short between 300-350 pgs., and 4) I had nothing else to do so I was constantly reading.

I’m genuinely surprised at how much I actually read though. When I was tallying everything I almost didn’t believe it.

It’s definitely impressive! You know, I really should get onboard with audiobooks. It would help me speed through my reading. I’m just super old fashioned – I like to feel the pages between my hands and smell the paper. Everyone raves about the audiobook for Daisy Jones and the Six so I’m thinking I’ll need to give it a try! ❀
