2020 Goodreads Year in Review

I finished all my 2020 Wrap-up posts, so now it’s time to talk some stats! I thought I’d share some quick and fun reading facts from my Goodreads year in review. I always love sharing the stats along with my faves & disappointment lists, so I hope you enjoy!

If you want to take a trip down memory lane, you can check out my Goodreads Year in Review posts from 2017, 2018, & 2019 too!

TOTAL PAGES

62,977 pages. Which seems like it’s in my average range.

TOTAL BOOKS

170 books. A bit more than last year, but it’s not surprising to me because all I did during quarantine was read.

SHORTEST BOOK

Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid | 87 Pages

Evidence of the Affair

A perfect little novella with a big emotional punch.

LONGEST BOOK

House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas

House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City, #1)

I loved this so much. What a fantastic world, with so much worldbuilding, and a perfect friendship – and some awesome action too!

AVERAGE BOOK LENGTH

370 pages

AVERAGE RATING

3.4 stars. The first time ever it wasn’t 3.5.

MOST POPULAR BOOK I READ

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

A Man Called Ove

I don’t know what my most popular book was because the book that it’s showing me, is one I took off my shelf, but I can tell you that A Man Called Ove has the highest number of ratings of any book I read in 2020 with 593, 653

LEAST POPULAR BOOK I READ

Faking It by Rebecca Smith

Faking It

573 other people have shelved this too. It wasn’t that good, so I understand the lower number.

BOOK I READ WITH THE HIGHEST GOODREADS RATING

The King’s Men by Nora Sakavic

The King's Men (All for the Game, #3)

With a 4.60 this was the highest rating of the books I read this year, which is shocking because while it is an adrenaline ride to read, it’s objectively not that good.

Book With the Lowest Goodreads Rating

The Friend Scheme by Cale Dietrich

The Friend Scheme

With a 3.04 this was the lowest rated book I read all year, but I don’t think it was that bad. I mean, it wasn’t great, but I read much worse.

FIRST BOOK I READ IN 2020

We Used to Be Friends by Amy Spalding

We Used To Be Friends

What a great and heartbreaking friendship break-up story.

MY LAST READ OF 2020

A Sky Beyond the Storm by Sabaa Tahir

A Sky Beyond the Storm (An Ember in the Ashes, #4)

I just double checked and once again, Goodreads was wrong. They said A Universe of Wishes was my last reviewed book (December 13th) but it’s actually A Sky Beyond the Storm on December 20th.

I’ll have my End of the Year tag up soon and then we can move onto anticipated 2021 books and other fun stuff!

Until then,

Signature
