WWW Wednesday #124

I have had not the best 2 weeks, which is why I’ve been a little absent. It just went from one emotional extreme to the other. I was devastated after my dog passed away earlier in the month, and then overjoyed when I got a promotion at work this past weekend. So it’s just been a time and I honestly needed to just process. But I think I’m ready to be back in my happy place – which is reading books. So here’s what my reading looks like this week.
WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam@TakingOnAWorldofWords and was formerly hosted by MizBADailyRhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three question. It’s open to anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answer. It’s a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments of Sam’s blog.

The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory
We Are the Ashes, We Are the Fire by Joy McCullough

The Wedding Date (The Wedding Date, #1)We Are the Ashes, We Are the Fire

I’m at the beginning of both of these stories so I don’t have a lot of thoughts just yet, but I am liking them – but I will probably also put them both down to pick up ACOSF (see below) because I’m just in a SJM mood right now. And I’ll pick these up again later in the week.

A Pho Love Story by Loan Le

A Pho Love Story

This was a cute little romance and the more I read, the harder it was to put down. Bao and Lin were great characters and the food made me so hungry!

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Silver Flames (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #4)

I actually just finished by ACOTAR reread, and while I’ve never been Nesta’s biggest fan – I love how much other people love her and it makes me want to like her more. Honestly, after the week I’ve had, I just need something I know will take my mind off of everything and be a pure escapism book. And I’m hoping I’ll get that with ACOSF.

Have you read any of these books?
Are they on your TBR?
What’s the new release or backlist you’re most excited to pick up?
