More mini reviews from books I’ve enjoyed to varying degrees over the last few weeks.

Amelia Unabridged by Ashley Schumacher

Amelia Unabridged

Rating: ★★★★☆
Release Date: February 16, 2021

This story was equal parts heartwarming and heartbreaking. Amelia’s journey through grief, self discovery, and romance are all so earnest that I couldn’t help but feel for her, cheer for her, and wish her all the best. I loved the slight whimsy is Amelia’s view point and seeing her really figure out what she wants and going for it was a joy to see after the devastation she’d been through.

I received a copy of the book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

A Pho Love Story by Loan Le

A Pho Love Story

Rating:★★★☆☆ (3.5 Stars)
Release Date: February 9, 2021

This was such a cute and wholesome story. I loved the focus on Bao and Linh’s culture and seeing the glow closer was so cute.

A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

A Court of Silver Flames (A Court of Thorns and Roses, #4)

Rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5 Stars)
Release Date: February 16, 2021

If you would have told me that a book about Nesta Archeron would make me cry – multiple times – I would have believed you. But here we are. This was such a lovely story about heart and healing and I cant believe I loved it as much as I did. I have to say, Nesta’s healing was great to see – and I loved being along for the ride – and her and Cassian’s chemistry was off the charts, but I think my favorite part of the story was the friendships that Nesta develops with Gwyn and Emerie. I love that she found a place for herself and a group of people who lift each other up and love and support one another. It was just so genuine and pure and filled my heart with warmth. And I can’t wait to see what’s next in this world

The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory

The Wedding Date (The Wedding Date, #1)

Rating: ★★★☆☆ (3.5 Stars)
Release Date: January 30, 2018

This was a fun and quick story – exactly what I wanted, and expected. Drew and Alexa had solid chemistry and I liked the honest discussions they had. Though the final conflict was weak – a simple miscommunication and insecurity plot point, I had a fun time reading it. It was cute, charming, and hard to put down.
