After reading the Addicted and Calloway Sisters series last year and falling in love with the characters and world that the Ritchie sisters created, I knew I needed to read the Like Us series following the children of characters from the first two series.
KBR describe the The Like Us series as “one continuous timeline, that follows a family of wealthy celebrities and the people that protect them.” So these are all bodyguard romances with other tropes included. POVs switch throughout the series with different books primarily focusing on different couples, so the books should be read in their order of publication to understand events that take place in prior books, but you don’t have to have read any previous books to enjoy this series, you’ll just get more out of it. (and I would 100% recommend the other books for Lo alone).

I am so happy to be back in this world and to get to see everyone all grown up
Moffy is such a caring and empathetic character that it is impossible to not fall in love with him – especially seeing the devotion he has to his family and his selflessness. Enter Farrow, a childhood crush turned to current day forced proximity and endless flirty banter and you have a perfect match. Maximoff and Farrow just balance each other out incredibly well – the logic vs the spontaneity – they just work so well.

I just really love Moffy, and I really loved seeing more of the Famous Ones families and SFO Bodyguards developing relationships on the FanTour bus. I just always want to make Moffy a hot cup of tea and give him only the best things in life. We see more of the Farrow’s personality, not only in the dedication to his relationship, but in his dedication to his job, taking no threats lightly.

Alphas Like Us has so many wonderfully emotional moments. It’s impossible to not become invested in Moffy and Farrow’s relationship. They have such a pure love between them and both and such caring and selfless characters. I couldn’t love them more.

I was nervous going into this because I wasn’t sure if I would love Jane as much as I love Rose and Conner – and while I don’t think she’ll beat them out, I really grew to like her too. She’s just as verbose and articulate as her parents, but she lacks direction and a passion which was so relatable. I loved seeing her explore and try to find parts of herself through the story. While Thatcher is a more stoic and reserved character, he begins to open himself up to Jane. Jane and Thatcher just really work well together. They are both very self assured and communicate very well. They balance each other perfectly. And while family has always been a strong focus of the series, seeing Jane interact with the Cobalt clan, and Thatcher’s relationship with his twin brother Banks, were both so perfect and made me love everyone even more.

I really loved Sinful Like Us, because we really get to explore Jane and Thatcher as a couple fully- mainly their respective insecurities and how they are harmful to a relationship, and how they confront and work on those issues as a couple. With the pair unexpectedly suck while helping Moffy and Farrow scout wedding locations, they have all the time in the world to work through their issues and really grow as characters and a couple. I also really loved getting a few short glimpses of a Banks POV, because seeing him with Xander was beyond sweet.
As you can tell, I really love these characters and these couples. Be on the lookout for part II, with the next five books in the series.
