2020 Wrap-Ups | DNFs & Disappointments

I know I’ve been almost completely MIA for most of November and December, but these last two months of the year are always the busiest for me (the life of a retail worker) and I never get as much reading done. But I am excited to start some of 2020 wrap-up posts! And like last years, I figured lets get the negative out of the way first and talk about all my DNFs and disappointments of the year. WWW Wednesday #100

WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam@TakingOnAWorldofWords and was formerly hosted by MizBADailyRhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three question. It’s open to anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answer. It’s a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments of Sam’s blog.

 THE THREE W’S ARE:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

As always, click the book’s title to go to the Goodreads page!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature formerly hosted by The Broke and the Bookish and is currently hosted by The Artsy Reader Girl

So because narrowing this list down to 10 would be impossible, I have 14. Most of these are releases from the first half of the year because I didn’t want to snet a bajillion hours scouring every single release of 2019. So here are some of the releases I’m most excited about for 2019 in no particular order.  Continue reading

First Lines Fridays #60

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

  • Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
  • Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
  • Finally… reveal the book!
