This week’s Top 10 Tuesday post is all about standalone books that need a sequel. It was kinda hard coming up with a list for me, because a lot of standalones are contemporary and they wrap up their stories nicely, but there are a few here – and some fantasy – that I think need a sequel! I think books ‘needing’a sequel can fall into two categories: either to help improve the book or you loved it so much a desperately want more. Let’s see which ones these books fall into.

2018 Wrap Up | Favorite Covers

As 2018 is coming to a close, it’s time to start making all kinds if wrap up/reflection posts about out favorite and least favortie bookish things this year! Now I decided to start with my favorite book covers or the year because I love talking about book covers. This list will be a mix of books I’ve read in 2018, books releases in 2018, and books with pretty covers I haven’t read yet. So it’s just a big nonsensical list of pretty things.

First Lines Fridays #52

First Lines Fridays is a weekly feature for book lovers hosted by Wandering Words. What if instead of judging a book by its cover, its author or its prestige, we judged it by its opening lines?

• Pick a book off your shelf (it could be your current read or on your TBR) and open to the first page
• Copy the first few lines, but don’t give anything else about the book away just yet – you need to hook the reader first
• Finally… reveal the book!

July 2018 Anticipated Releases

I’m not going to lie, there are really only a few releases this month that I’m really excited for. There are of course some that I know other’s are highly anticipating, but they’re laters books in series that I haven’t read yet. So this month is slim for hot new books. But it does have a sequel to one of my favortie books of last year so I’m still really excited!
