WWW Wednesday #125

Since taking a bit of a break last month, I’ve read a lot. But here’s what’s been going on over the last week.
WWW Wednesday is a meme hosted by Sam@TakingOnAWorldofWords and was formerly hosted by MizBADailyRhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three question. It’s open to anyone to participate, even without a blog you can comment on Sam’s post with your own answer. It’s a great way to share what you’ve been reading! All you have to do is answer three questions and share a link to your blog in the comments of Sam’s blog.

 THE THREE W’S ARE:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you think you’ll read next?

As always, click the book’s title to go to the Goodreads page!

CURRENTLY READING

Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert
The Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson

Act Your Age, Eve Brown (The Brown Sisters, #3)The Girl of Fire and Thorns (Fire and Thorns, #1)

I’ve just started Act Your Age, Eve Brown and just like its predecessors, it’s absolutely charming and I’m having a super fun time and it’s the perfect choice to break up all the fantasy I’ve been craving lately. The Girl of Fire and Thorns is one of the book’s I have on my yearly TBR for 2021. It’s a fantasy from YA’s 2012 rebirth and I’m kind of excited to finally get around to it.

RECENTLY FINISHED

Kingdom of the Wicked by Kerri Maniscalco

Kingdom of the Wicked (Kingdom of the Wicked, #1)

Speaking of the fantasy I’ve been craving lately. Kingdom of the Wicked was my first Kerri Maniscalco read. I think it was an okay story – I loved the setting (I craved Italian food and ended up making panzanella for dinner.) but the worldbuilding was a bit lacking for me.

Perfect on Paper by Sophie Gonzales

Perfect on Paper

I thought that Gonzales’ Only Mostly Devastated was a fun and fresh Grease re-imaging so I have some (moderate) expectations to enjoy Perfect on Paper.
