Another Sunday, another book tag.
I’m very excited about this tag because it was insprierd by one of my all time favortie series THE DIVINERS by Libba Bray. And in honor of the final book, The King of Crows coming out next year some wonderful booktubers: Emmmabooks, SarahWithoutAnH, & Monica Kim, are hosting a readathon leading upt to the last book. The readathon started this Saturday, October 26th, and I’m definitely taking part. They also created this fun 20s-insprired tag that I knew I had to do too.
Roaring 20s | A 2020 Release You’re Excited About
Anna K: A Love Story by Jenny Lee
This sounds like so much freaking fun and I already know I’m going to love it.
That’s the Berries | A New Release You Loved
No, I will not stop gushing about how much I loved this book and what a fun time I had reading it.
Now You’re On the Trolley | A Series That Took More Than One Book to Get Into
The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton
I don’t know if the second book in a duology counts for this question, but that’s what I’m using. The Everlasting Rose was going to make or break the series for me: I like The Belles okay, but I had some problems with it. But The Everlasting Rose expanding the world and introduced some great new characters that made the book for me.
Bluenose | A Book That Put You in a Reading Slump
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare
And not for the reasons you might think. I didn’t like the story as much as Lady Midnight, it everything I read after it for all of May felt equally mediocre. Not bad, but not anything really good either.
Hotsy Totsy | A Book With a Beautiful Cover
The original Diviners covers remains one of my all-time favorites. It’s absolutely stunning and the actual hardback is beautiful too.
Let’s Blouse | A Book You DNF’d
The Never-Tilting World by Rin Chupeco
For the life of me, I could not care about anything that was happening in this story or the characters.
Zoozled | A Book that Caused a Book Hangover
Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas
I was looking forward to this book for over a year, so it’s no surpise I could think of nothing else after I finished it.
If you love the DIVINERS as much as I do, you need to do this tag, and participate in the upcoming readalong. I’m sure it will be a blast.
I hadn’t heard of Anna K before this post and I just added it to my anticipated 2020 TBR!
