Book Tag | Choose the Year Book Tag

Another Sunday, another book tag.

In celebrating a new decade, I thought it would be fun to look back at some of the most popular book of 2010 and see what I thought of them! I found this over at SAmesFoley, so make sure you go check out their post too.

The tag prompts:

  1. Choose a year and say why.
  2. Which books published in that year have you read, or if none, heard of.
  3. Are there any books published in that year that sound interesting and would you read them now?
  4. Most obscure sounding book?
  5. Strangest book cover

You can easily use: http://www.goodreads.com/book/popular_by_date/xxxx/ and replace “xxxx” with any year to fin some of the most popular books.

Books I’ve Read

Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3)Matched (Matched, #1)Anna and the French Kiss (Anna and the French Kiss, #1)The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1)I Am Number Four (Lorien Legacies, #1)The Red Pyramid (The Kane Chronicles, #1)Spirit Bound (Vampire Academy, #5)Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6)Torment (Fallen, #2)Hex Hall (Hex Hall, #1)The Iron Daughter (The Iron Fey, #2)Heist Society (Heist Society, #1)

So much paranormal and urban fantasy. A sign of the times, I’m sure.

On my TBR

The Sky Is EverywherePlease Ignore Vera DietzThe Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive, #1)The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend

What an eclectic mix of books.

Obscure

The Immortal Life of Henrietta LacksAbraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, #1)

I’ve heard of both of these books, but nonfiction is just really not my genre so it all sounds kinda obscure to me. But Henrietta Lacks story is so surreal that the book does interest me. And I don’t know how to get more obscure than Abe Lincoln + Vampires.

Covers

Sisters Red (Fairytale Retellings, #1)

Come on, it’s so pretty and intricate.

Now, I’m sure I missed some books because I didn’t have them on my shelves or had another edition, but this was a really interesting tag to see the trends of the book world broken down by the year.

What year should I do next? Share below!
