CURRENTLY READING

A Shadow in the Ember by Jennifer L. Armentrout
All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata
The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley

A Shadow in the Ember (Flesh and Fire, #1)All Rhodes Lead HereThe Paris Apartment

I’m about halfway into ASITE and I’m enjoying it so far, I feel like the first half was a lot of character development and worldbuilding, but there will be much more action and plot in the second half, but as of right now it doesn’t seem necessary to read this before TWOTQ. I was in the mood for a slow burn romance, so I looked no further than Mariana Zapata. I’ve read a lot of great things about All Rhodes Lead Here, and with what I’ve read it seems like a good mix of family and personal journey stuff while the romance gets going. I haven’t read a mystery in a while, so I thought listening to The Paris Apartment while at work in the mornings would be perfect. I know some people have been disappointed by it, but I have no expectations other than a -hopefully – good time.

RECENTLY FINISHED

Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan
The Enemy by Sarah Adams

Archer's VoiceThe Enemy (It Happened in Charleston, #2)

I had fun with this in the first half, but I couldn’t get over the immaturity (and annoyance) of Lee Stone – affectionately known as Stoner to her friends . She killed my enjoyment of the story.

READING NEXT

The War of Two Queens by JLA
Fate Throne by Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

The War of Two Queens (Blood and Ash, #4)Fated Throne (Zodiac Academy, #6)

I know TWOTQ made people mad, but I don’t really care – it just made me want to read it more, lol. And after binging the fort five books in the Zodiac Academy series back in January, I’m still in a fantasy kick – which is not something I could say in 2021 at all, so I’m finally going to continue on with the series.
